Valerian was Roman emperor from 253 to spring 260 AD.
Obverse : Bust of Emperor Valerian
Reverse:Valerian and his Co Emperor Son Gallienus shaking hands.
Valerian is known as the first Roman emperor to have been taken captive in battle, captured by the Sassanid Persian Emperor Shapur I in Edessa Battle. It was a great shock to the Roman empire.
