Job Summary:
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high food quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to maximize profitability while maintaining a great dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management
Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain consistency.
Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
2. Customer Service & Satisfaction
Ensure exceptional guest experiences by addressing customer concerns promptly.
Monitor online reviews and feedback, taking action to improve service.
Train staff in hospitality and customer engagement techniques.
3. Staff Management & Leadership
Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff.
Schedule shifts to optimize labor efficiency.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a positive and professional work environment.
4. Financial & Inventory Management
Monitor budgets, revenue, and expenses to achieve financial goals.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and reduce waste.
Analyze sales data to improve menu offerings and pricing strategies.
Ensure accurate cash handling and POS system management.
5. Marketing & Promotions
Work with marketing teams to develop promotions and events.
Maintain social media presence and engage with customers online.
Build partnerships with local businesses to increase visibility.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Previous experience as a restaurant manager, assistant manager, or similar role.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant best practices.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant management software.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in budget management and cost control.
Background in hospitality or culinary management.
Ability to develop training programs for staff.
Passion for food, customer service, and team development.
