Our structural engineering department is looking for a passionate BIM modeler to join our team.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Create, manage, and update detailed BIM models for various projects, ensuring accuracy to design specifications across civil, structural, MEP, and electrical disciplines.
• Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and integrate their input into the BIM models, ensuring all disciplines are effectively coordinated.
• Ensure that all models comply with industry standards, company protocols, and project-specific requirements, including MEP and electrical systems.
• Identify and address any issues or conflicts within the BIM models, particularly those related to the integration of civil, structural, MEP, and electrical systems, and coordinate with team members to resolve discrepancies.
• Produce and maintain various types of project documentation, including drawings, schedules, and reports, derived from BIM models for all project disciplines.
• Provide BIM support throughout all project phases, from initial design through to construction and facility management, with a focus on interdisciplinary coordination.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM technologies and practices, and contribute to improving internal BIM processes and workflows, including advancements in MEP and electrical modeling.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience as a BIM Modeler or in a similar role, with hands-on experience in civil, structural, electrical and MEP.
• Proficiency in BIM software (such as Autodesk Revit, Tekla, Navisworks, or similar) and a strong understanding of BIM standards and practices, including those related to MEP and electrical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in model creation and documentation across multiple disciplines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve issues within BIM models and coordinate solutions with project teams, including multidisciplinary integration.
• Experience in producing 2D/3D structural engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience with additional BIM tools or software (such as Dynamo, BIM 360, or Civil 3D), with a focus on Civil, Structural, MEP and electrical modeling.
• Experience working on complex projects, including commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects, with significant involvement in MEP and electrical systems.
• A proactive approach to exploring and implementing new technologies or methodologies in BIM, particularly those that enhance Structural, MEP and electrical modeling.
• Parametric design (Rhino 3D, Grasshopper).
