Rode created the NTH-100 headphones to provide exceptional audio clarity. Rode fitted these headphones with custom-matched linear frequency response drivers to achieve that aim. When we received the NTH-100s, our Product Research team decided to put that engineering to the test. We listened to tracks from many genres and can affirm that these headphones offer the bass response required for today’s hip-hop and R&B, the high-end “air” required for classical and acoustic pieces, and the midrange clarity required for the densest current pop arrangements. Furthermore, Rode’s meticulous design process infused these headphones with superb stereo image that outperforms almost anything else in their price range.
The NTH-100 is ready to create memories with you for a lifetime. The FitLok Locking headband for consistent comfort is one of its most striking features. When you’ve found the most comfortable configuration, use FitLok to keep the earcups in place when not in use. The headband is comprised of springy stainless steel, which outlasts the competitors. The NTH-100s also include a detachable cable and an innovative cable locking system to prevent inadvertent disconnections. Don’t be concerned about damage from harsh handling; Rode developed the cable with this in mind. The locking connection on the cable is weaker than the connector on the headphones.
A good set of headphones should not just have good sound quality. Rode understands this, which is why the NTH-100 headphones include comfortable cushioning. To keep you comfortable during lengthy listening sessions, the earcups and headband are comprised of Alcantara-covered memory foam with CoolTech gel. Music fans are aware that spectacles and headphones don’t always get along, but the NTH-100’s ear cushions have made that a thing of the past. Memory foam adjusts to people of all shapes and sizes, making lengthy listening periods comfortable.
