NETATMO by Stark, Smart Radiator Valves - Pack For District Heating
The Netatmo smart radiator thermostat starter package in the test
Like most smart home systems, the Netatmo one also needs a so-called bridge to function. This bridge is, so to speak, the interface between the Internet and the actual radiator thermostats.
The bridge is therefore absolutely necessary for the system to operate! Accordingly, the bridge is of course also included in the starter package, just like two radiator thermostats and various materials for assembly.
This starter package can of course also be expanded using the two enclosed thermostats. One bridge can control up to 20 radiator thermostats, which should be more than enough for most households.
Netatmo has a knack for good design. This is also shown by the radiator thermostats and the brothers. The bridge is a flat socket adapter which is integrated into your network via WLAN.
This has a frosted glass plastic cover on the top and a white base plate on the bottom.
The radiator thermostats are based on a similar design. These also have a frosted glass plastic cover which wraps around the round thermostats.
On the top under this cover there is a small display which shows you the desired temperature during operation. This temperature can also be adjusted on the thermostat, for this purpose the cover can be turned to the left and right, which triggers a button.
This makes the radiator thermostats look very clean and modern! Of course, these also have to be supplied with energy. This is done using two AA batteries which are inserted under a cover on the front.
Description
With the Netatmo NVP-EN Starter Pack, you can immediately provide 2 different radiators with a smart radiator valve. The pack consists of 2 radiator valves and a bridge. The bridge is connected to the internet via your router, which means you can control the individual radiator valves with the app (iOS and Android) from any given location. Use the app to set up a heating schedule for each room. You can set the bathroom to be nicely preheated in the morning, and the temperature in the bedroom to be increased in the afternoon. The app gives you a temperature overview per room. With more Netatmo radiator valves at your home, you can save up to 37% on your energy costs. Set up night mode and the radiator in the bedroom will automatically lower the temperature at night. This means you can sleep at a comfortable temperature. The radiator valve also has an open window detector. When the window is open, the valve automatically shuts off the radiator which prevents unnecessary costs.
