Preparing toters order
Customer Service: Greet customers, answer their questions, and assist them with purchases or returns.
Processing Transactions: Operate the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system, scan items, calculate total prices, and handle payments via cash, credit/debit cards, or digital payment methods.
Handling Money: Count cash at the beginning and end of each shift, ensure the register has the correct change, and manage discrepancies.
Bagging Purchases: Package items for customers, ensuring fragile items are properly wrapped.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the cashier area organized and clean, including wiping down surfaces and ensuring the checkout area is tidy.
Processing Returns and Exchanges: Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to store policy, and issue receipts or store credit as necessary.
Stocking Shelves: Occasionally help restock or organize merchandise near the checkout area.
Promoting Sales: Inform customers of any promotions, discounts, or loyalty programs to encourage purchases.
Recording Transactions: Ensure all transactions are accurately logged into the system, and handle any discrepancies or errors.
Handling Customer Complaints: Address minor issues or escalate major concerns to a supervisor or manager.
