Description
We are looking to hire an Accountant to join our team at SADEK MAJED Headquarters, main responsibilities:
Accounting Operations:
* Record and maintain accounting transactions, including journal entries, invoices, and payments.
* Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and ledgers to ensure accuracy and consistency.
* Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
* Maintain the chart of accounts and perform data entry for opening of new accounts in the general ledger.
* Assist in managing payroll, including processing salaries, deductions, benefits and obtaining employee signature.
* Prepare supplier and inter-companies reconciliation reports.
* Ensure cash flow aligns with the company's standards and handle petty cash management.
* Participate in preparing and executing payroll, NSSF
& VAT declarations.
* Maintain proper documentation, filing, and archiving of financial records.
Financial Reporting
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Compliance and Auditing
* Ensure all accounting transactions comply with Lebanese accounting standards and tax laws.
* Assist in preparing documentation for external audits and respond to auditor queries.
* File tax declarations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Support Functions
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial data and insights.
* Support in developing and maintaining accounting systems and policies.
* Identify areas for cost-saving and operational efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
* 2-3 years of relevant experience in similar position.
* Read, speak, and write Arabic and English. French is a plus
* Computer literate including knowledge of MS office.
Advanced Excel skills for financial reporting and analysis.
* Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Accountable.
